Inspired by her own fitness transformation in her late twenties, April opened a personal training business, Fit Physique. Twelve years ago, as a way to further inspire her clients, she also began competing in Figure and Fitness competitions and fitness modeling. After that she added a more challenging goal of competing in the Tri-Fitness Challenge, which includes rounds of physique, fitness routine, fitness skills, and obstacle course. She then took on the challenge of competing as a Powerlifter in the 165lb and 148lb class. April is the wife of Josh VanHoose, they have been married 23 years and now he training along side her as a strength, speed, and power coach for the youth in their area. In 2017 they opened up a training facility called Fit Physique & Performance and is the home base to KY Son Eats. Josh’s background includes years as a soccer coach and he currently runs a power tumbling team out of their new 7,200sq ft training facility in Eastern KY. Josh and April have three beautiful girls and one perfect grandson. Their oldest daughter Baylie Ray is owner of KY Son Eats and a personal trainer at Fit Physique & Performance. As a mother now, she loves raising her son Kyson in the same environment she grew up in which helped her fall in love with sports performance. April obtained certifications as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, an IPPA Certified Physique Specialist, an ISSA Specialist in Fitness Nutrition, and also is a Bodysport Contest Prep Coach. Josh has his certifications as an IPPA Certified Physique Specialist and a Certified Speed and Power Specialist. Baylie is currently in the process of studying to complete her ACE Personal Training Certification. They plan to further their education by continuing to attend the latest seminars and stay up to date with current research on exercise and nutrition.  I like to tackle things bigger than I am. 
Rugby Player. MMA Fighter. BJJ Competitor.

 I began my rugby career in college at the University of Kentucky, where I was selected to represent the USA Rugby U-19 Girls National Team on an international tour of England and Wales. After transferring the University of Northern Iowa, I became a 2-time first team All-American and represented UNI in two USA Rugby Div. 1 National Championships, making it to the Elite 8 my senior year. I also was selected to the USA Rugby U-23 National Team, touring New Zealand in 2007. Post-college I played for several Premier League senior side women's teams and all-star teams, playing for a Premier League National championship in 2010. Since 2011, I have represented Providence Women's Rugby Club, finishing fourth in the country in the 2017 Div. II Women's National Championship. Since 2014, I've also been training and competing as an amateur fighter in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and Mixed Martial Arts under Team Santos Fighting Academy and Sityodtong Boston and am hoping to transition to a professional MMA fighter in the coming year. As you can imagine, balanced nutrition is extremely important to any athlete, but especially for sports which demand you to put your body on the line week after week. Getting enough protein while also managing cravings is especially important as a combat athlete where making weight is a requirement. Ky Son Donuts provide a great way to satisfy my sweet tooth while still staying within my dietary constraints and preparing to perform at my best.

Em Haas is the CEO of The Fit Mompreneur, a 12 week Online Fitness & Nutrition Coaching Program where she helps Mompreneurs lose weight & tone for good so their kids can have the confident example they deserve.After being an overweight kid the majority of her childhood, her mom made it her mission to help her get healthier & lose weight without missing out on being a kid.
